Part-time Pet Care Technician needed for busy boarding facility in Frisco, Tx. Ohana Pet Resort is looking for applicants that thoroughly enjoy dogs as well as a high paced work environment. We are willing to train the right candidate. This position will also require frequent interaction with clients.
Must be available on Weekends & Holidays, have a passion for animals, a positive attitude, great communication skills, and a flexible schedule. Evenings, weekends and holidays required. Can work around high school schedule for the right applicant. Entry level with advancement opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
• Must be 16 or older
• Pass Criminal background check
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to provide references previous employer, clients (if applicable) and coworkers
• Experience with animals is necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Keeping pets safe and well cared for

• Cleaning and sanitizing runs, walk ways & yards.
• Janitorial:taking out the garbage, sweeping, mopping, cleaning laundry and restocking supplies as needed

•Cleaning pet excrement
​
• Providing top of the line care to the boarding and daycare guests.
• Being a reliable and responsible employee.
• Ability to multitask.
• Speaking with clients and coworkers in a professional manor.

• Answering phones, taking reservations, and learning booking system
• Ability to write instructions/administer medications.
• Making clients feel welcomed and comfortable when interaction is required.

• Closing availability
• Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

• Ability to be on your feet throughout a shift.
• Ability to take direction from management.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
A day in the life:
• Provide all animals with appropriate housing, bathing, walking, food, water, bedding, toys and other mental stimulation and enrichment, social interaction with humans and, where appropriate, members of own species.
• Monitor health - both physical and behavioral, and rapidly identify any issues or changes that may require special action and report the information to supervisor immediately.
• Accurately record and maintain patient records while the animal is under care at the facility.
